Frequently Asked Questions

Are you only offering Telehealth services?

Yes. Telehealth makes it easy for many to access our services.

Do you accept insurance?

We are in the accreditation process and hope to be able to accept insurance by the end of the summer. Until then, we can provide you with a super-bill to submit a claim to your health insurance provider.

What is the difference between a nutritionist and a registered dietitian?

Anybody can call themselves a nutritionist, and it’s hard to know which ones have extensive training from those with very little.

A registered dietitian nutritionist is a legally protected title that requires specialized training.  It requires, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree,  with 1200 or more hours of supervised practice, and passing a national board exam.

How do I get ready for my appointment?

Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email with a specialized link for your Telehealth visit and forms to complete. Please complete these forms before the appointment so we can review them beforehand and have a more fruitful conversation.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to, please cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance. You are still financially responsible for the session if you don’t show up.
